Hemp is becoming extremely popular in India where agriculture and the medicinal whereabouts of the plant have escalated and so have many myths about the same. Here are a few common myths debunked.
1. Hemp and marijuana come from the same plant
Hemp and marijuana are both derived from the same plant species (Cannabis sativa), however, they are entirely distinct cultivars. Marijuana is defined as cannabis when it contains substantial quantities of THC and is psychoactive. The plant is categorized as hemp if it contains only trace quantities of THC and is nonpsychoactive. Therefore, the same species but different plan.
2. Hemp makes you high
Tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) is the psychoactive ingredient found in cannabis. Marijuana plants contain high amount of THC. Hemp, on the contrary, generally contains very low amounts of THC. It’s insufficient to generate a little stir.
3. CBD products come from hemp
Despite the majority of publicly traded CBD oils being produced from hemp, it’s risky to assume you’re obtaining a hemp-based composition simply because it’s labelled as a CBD product. CBD (cannabidiol) is found in both hemp and marijuana. As a result, you must exercise caution when purchasing cannabidiol products online. a few of these goods contain marijuana and may be intoxicating.
4. Hemp seed oil is the same as CBD oil
